Magnetic Crack Detector Portable Yoke Type.
MAGNAKIT YM 175AH is a portable light weight Magnetic Particle Test Kit designed for in-situ testing of ferromagnetic materials of different forms and conditions by Yoke Technique. Testing can be done in both Dry or Wet Process under Continuous or Residual Method using Visible or Fluorescent Particles according to requirement.
The kit contains in it a flexible 175 mm Electromagnetic Yoke made of laminated CRGO Silicon Steel and other essential test aids for complete inspection. The Electromagnetic Yoke having flexible arms and replaceable pole pieces can be flexed upto a maximum of 275 mm for single length operation. Contoured pole pieces are available on demand for testing jobs of different shapes. The pole pieces can be quickly engaged and disengaged for rapid testing.
Powered from 220 volts single phase 50Hz, 5Amps a.c. source, the powerful electro-magnetic yoke offers both A.C. and H.W.D.C. field for longitudinal magnetisation of test objects to reveal transverse and near transverse surface and sub-surface flaws. H.W.D.C. field can be controlled in infinite steps to facilitate testing of different sections. A push button switch is fitted on the handle of the yoke for easy operation.
Magnetic particles in the form of dry powder or suspended in liquid vehicle are applied by dry powder bulb or squeeze bottle supplied along with the unit.
APPLICATIONS
Absence of electrical arcing has made the unit indispensable for testing in fire hazardous areas. Fast and simple to operate, the kit is ideally suitable for in-plant maintenance inspection and testing of all types of ferromagnetic parts/components where pole faces can make good contacts.
